We love this book series for our 6 month old (there are other books with this title depending on the holiday). And our baby loves when we read them to her. The book is a hardback and she can flip the pages/play with the book without ripping it.

....That these books are so popular- whether it's an adult reading it to their child or the child is old enough to read it themselves- the "story" is entertaining, humorous and the illustrations are cute. From "When You Give A Mouse A Cookie"- ( one of Ms Numeroff's first publications that we started with) to the many numerous other books she has written and which now include Holiday themes-- You can't go wrong. This "Valentine" one is for my adult "child" to add to the collection. I now have to buy more for my young grandkids cause that "adult" child refuses to give them up! Oh, yeah- the books have lessons in "sharing" too!

I buy a lot of children's books. This one doesn't have much to it. Really basic. Not much of a story to it. I was so disappointed when I read it to my 3 year old granddaughter. I would not recommend it.

This is a lovely book, but it can’t possibly be new as advertised. Several breaks in the binding and cover. It looks used!
