I bought these books for my grandsons. I have been an avid baker for 40+ years. These books have wonderful recipes using ingredients on hand. There are detailed instructions. I made the peanut butter cookies. The absolute best I’ve made. (Soft). I will be busy copying receipts before Christmas

My daughter (9) received a different baking book for her birthday in February, and the recipes in it were horrible (typos in the ingredients list - literally calling for 5.5 CUPS of baking powder, instructing eggs to be mixed in with the dry ingredients, etc.). I bought The Complete Baking Book for Young Chefs for her to replace it, and it is exactly what I was hoping for. The instructions are thorough and clear, and the recipes are delicious! At first my daughter was just flipping through and making the recipes that sounded good, but after I took a look myself, I asked her if she would just go through and make each one! I am a baker myself, so I have a real appreciation for how this book not only provides recipes that produce delicious results, but teaches kids proper technique in the process. We will be purchasing the cook book in this line as well. Really, really a wonderfully executed book.

Got this for my 9yo. Made his first recipe and it was perfect. He was able to follow the instructions as well as refer back to the instructions on basics such as melting butter with confidence.
