The book is visually lovely, but the daily quotes are somewhat random passages taken from the books. Many of them aren't particularly interesting taken in isolation. I am not really sure I would be bothered to pick this book up again after putting it down. The thing I find especially gauling is that the book is 30% cheaper one day after release.

This is a beautiful book. I brought it as a Christmas present for my nephew but had to have a look at it before hiding it away. There is something to read every day of the year and the illustrations are gorgeous

I don’t get how they pick the dates. 9/18 has a quote from the chapter on Halloween. If the dates aren’t going to be right why include them? I would have preferred just the art.

Great illustrations, but does just have quotes from the books. Some just fun passages, others well known often quoted quotes... wasn't exactly what I had hoped for, but still enjoy it and am glad to add it to my collection.

I am a rabid fan of Rowling and the Potter books. I have read them many times. I was a bit disappointed that this book did not have more new illustrations. I have seen most before and some in better context. Also at a time when clothing is packaged for mailing with bubble wrap all around it, this book arrived diagonally in a box with zero protection. One of the corners was bent. This is one item that should have some protection.
