Usually christian romances are listed as such but this was not. Had it been I would not have bought it. But preachiness throughout the story really downgraded it by the author blatantly trying to show us she is a devout Christian. I'd like to remind the author of matthew chapter six verses 5-8.

HER ALASKAN RETURN by Belle Calhoun is the exceptional telling of the second chance romance of Autumn Hines and Judah Campbell that takes place in the beautiful setting of Serenity Peak, Alaska. Once longtime best friends that turned to romance, Autumn ended the relationship sudden, with no explanation to Judah, when she found out that due to a medical issue that she would be unable to have children and left town. Both heartbroken, they each went on to have a life separate from each other with Autumn following her desire to become a writer and eventually marrying a musician. Judah has endured one heartache after another with each one sending him deeper down into depression. He never really got over the breakup with Autumn. Mainly because he didn’t understand what had happened. Picking up the pieces, he had married and they had a son – the light of his world. In the matter of seconds, he’s world crashed when they were taken from him in a winter car accident. Rumors about his wife after the accident was like someone plunging a knife in him. This was followed closely by the death of his dad. It all seems to be too much for him. He just found it better to isolate himself either at home or out at sea. He was holding on to the hurt and it seemed to see the faces of other or their actions just made it worse. Years later Autumn had to have surgery for her medical condition, but no one ever told her that she would now be able to conceive a child. When she finds out she is pregnant, she was ecstatic, but her husband was fair from being thrilled. The marriage crumbled and she filed for divorce. Knowing she was going to be a single parent to this bundle of joy, there was no place she would raise her child but back in her hometown. Can she pull it off? Can she work remotely submitting her stories in from Serenity Peak? Will she be accepted back into the closeknit community after such a long absence? How will her being pregnant and divorced be accepted? How will she feel about facing Judah? Will she ever be able to come clean about why she left? To say Judah was shocked when Autumn appears before him was an understatement. Seems one thing hasn’t changed. They still butt heads disagreeing about things. How can he get so upset with her and still feel the need to look at her seeing the women he once loved? Autumn is hoping he will help her with the very thing rumors are pointing a finger at him over. Is she trying to help the fishermen or have her own agenda? Will Autumn’s persistence make her the one that helps to pull him out of his agonizing hurt, his feeling of guilt and the loss of his faith? Is there really a possibility of a second chance or will Judah be completely destroyed by Autumn again? HER ALASKAN RETURN is such a compelling, well-written love story that it will definitely have you reading it...
