It's finally here. The book is visually beautiful. The author has a real sense of humor and I really like how she introduces each recipe to us by connecting it to her personal experiences. As an Asian American I had a tough time finding recipes for Asian sweets, since most of our older generation just kept recipes in their heads and there was no exact measurement for anything. I am so glad to have this as a staple in my kitchen now.

I just got the book and haven’t had a chance to try any recipes, but everything looks and sounds delicious! The recipes are written simply and includes a short but very well written snippet on the recipe and how it ties in with Asian culture. Photos throughout are beautiful! As an avid follower of SAB it’s nice to have these recipes outside of what’s posted on her website and social media. Now I have more of SAB to love! Super excited to try the recipes over the next little bit!

I have not tested any of these yet but the instructions seem easy enough to follow and I like that the author went through some of the basics in terms of ingredients and techniques used in Asian baking. Every recipe has a photo and they all look so good I don’t know how I’ll decide what to make first. A must buy if you’re trying to branch out into other cuisines!

I grew up in Southeast Asia and when I moved back to my small town in the US, I was suddenly without all of the flavors that defined my childhood. I love having a cookbook that has simple and easy to follow recipes that allows me to recreate my childhood memories. Also check out her Instagram and Tiktok for more tips!

I've waited what seems like forever for this to be published. It finally came today, and was completely worth the wait. A visually stunning food, the recipes are even better. The twists on old favourites are original and unique. I can't wait to cook my way through the entire book. This would make a lovely gift for a baker.
