Nick and Charlie (The Heartstopper Novellas)
From the mega-bestselling creator of Heartstopper, a must-have novella in which Heartstopper's lead characters, Nick and Charlie, face one of their biggest challenges yet.
Absence makes the heart grow fonder... right?
Everyone knows that Nick and Charlie love their nearly inseparable life together. But soon Nick will be leaving for university, and Charlie, a year younger, will be left behind. Everyone's asking if they're staying together, which is a stupid question... or at least that's what Nick and Charlie assume at first.
As the time to say goodbye gets inevitably closer, both Nick and Charlie start to question whether their love is strong enough to survive being apart. Charlie is sure he's holding Nick back... and Nick can't tell what Charlie's thinking.
Things spiral from there.
Everyone knows that first loves rarely last forever. What will it take for Nick and Charlie to defy the odds?

After watching Season One of Heartstopper, I read the following volumes on Webtoons. Naturally, they left me wanting more, so while I considered waiting until Volume 5 of Heartstopper was out (and reading it first) , I opted not to wait. This was really a quick, lovely read. There's a level of consistency between the books and the characters' personalities that makes the whole Heartstopper/Nick and Charlie experience nearly seamless. I recognize there were some character adds/changes between the TV version and the books (Aled vs Isaac; introducing Imogene, etc.). However, when you're reading the monologues and interactions between the characters, it's all quite cohesive. So, Charlie and Nick sound like Charlie and Nick. Tori is definitely Tori. And Tao...whether on TV or in the books, Tao is most definitely Tao! :) Such an enjoyable experience. I wholeheartedly and enthusiastically recommend Nick and Charlie to anyone who loves these characters. :)

I loved it but i so wish it was longer. I needed more time in the world of nick and charlie. I know its a novella but it was going quite well until it ended. Alot more could have been said story wise but it just felt like i was reading the comic but with more words.Dont get me wrong, I enjoyed it but the ending felt abrupt. Author should think about writing a full length book with them.

Nick and Charlie are my absolute sons! I will protect them at all costs! After watching heartstopper on Netflix I had to find out more about them. I just fell in love with their story and can never stop smiling seeing them. This story is actually when they’re a bit older (college age) and it gets more involved with their lives and what issues they currently face and how they move through it both separately and together. I think nick and Charlie are so well liked because of how relatable they are. The heartstopper series as well as this sequel to them also has great LGBTQ+ representation in it. There’s a character for everyone and representation in literature and in media matter. Do yourself a favor and purchase these books and fall in love with them yourselves
