And if Eddie blows it, he just might call down the wrath of that powerful magical creature on all of Fog City.

This one's for Christopher Moore fans- you know who you are! It's set in 1947 San Francisco and beyond that, almost impossible to synopsize. There's a large cast of characters led by Sammy Two Toes and his lady Stilton (aka the Cheese) as well as Eddie Moo Shoes Shu, and they're all trying to find villain, including one who is murdering drag kings. And there's a Rain Dragon. It's funny, sometimes too broadly so and you might find yourself wondering more than once where all of it is going besides over the top. That said, the dialogue alone is worth your time (talk about come back lines!) and the plot is zippy. Thanks to Edelweiss for the ARC. Don't worry if you missed the first book (Noir), this stands on its own.
