I bought this book at Walmart and now, barely a complete chapter in, and I’m rolling my eyes. This book has so many run-on sentences. Like seriously… So many! And the sentences ramble on and on, then jumps from one thought to another, then back to first thought, all in the same sentence. It’s so easy to get confused or lose interest in a sentence and just skip onto the next one; Only to realize that that is a run on sentence as well. But, at least the punctuation was mostly correct so that’s a plus. It was almost like the writer was more interested in being witty with flowery prose than she was in just writing a good story. But I have noticed the last few years that Harlequin has been dropping the ball when it comes to editing anyway.

What a beautiful, enthralling story! A tinge of Gothic and an absolutely lovely writing style make this make a wonderful read. Plus a cold, secretly passionate hero who becomes obsessed with his wife. Highly recommend this one!!!
