After the epic journey of the first book, this book lacked a lot of plot. It was too much in both their heads and not enough actually going on. However I really enjoyed some of the secondary plot lines, like Evan’s little brother. But Evan and Gen piece was lacking. You could skip the first 30% of the book before something happens

This is a great follow up to Good Girl Complex! I love Genevieve and Evan's story. A great second chance romance!

This story is so outrageously hilarious and entertaining. Evan and Gen are returning characters from the first story in the series. Evan is the twin brother who was always up for a fight and some drunken fun. Gen has been his partner in crime since they were teenagers. The author has given the characters rapier wit with which to communicate. Evan and Gen are on a discovery to change their lives and fall in love all over again. The reader will be entranced by their journey through self discovery, service to others (leading to mishaps) and the moments they lose the battles. They will learn to poke fun at themselves, laugh a lot and love really well.

It might be raining and thundering, and you might be shivering. But for as long as that hug lasts you know the sun will eventually shine again. Gen and Evan are no flat characters. They have so many layers to them, so many grays. A rainbow of emotions in between their darkness and light. I wanted to slap them and hold them and shield them from the whole world. I honestly believe I won’t ever forget them…. Because there was that Elle-Kennedy-magic playing on every page of this Avalon Bay book. Oh Harrison. Here. Here. Be happy 🖤 I also adored the hotel. I’m sorry but somehow I feel like it has become a character in itself and I just find myself imagining how it was and how it will be. 💭 What happens when the party girl and the bad boy grow up? This story is what happens! Adult. 5 stars ⭐️ and a blow pop.
