Brean takes a trip to Ireland to find the father who left her as child. Or maybe something happened and he couldn't return. Maybe her mother was wrong......or lied. She stumbles on to more than she could have imagined. A multi-vers, were portals connect earth to the world of the Wise, Elves, Weres, Dragons, and more. Life is full of surprises!

Nora Roberts is the gold standard for sweeping epic fantasies that include sweeping, epic romance. She creates lush and detailed worlds for her characters to inhabit, and they are characters you will get to know intimately and root for. My favorite aspect of this book was that the character focused on finding herself before any romance was introduced at all. After all, we have two more books with which to dive into that. I can’t wait to pick up the next one. I even wait until she publishes an entire trilogy so that I can read them all at once.

Oh this book, this Legacy takes you off on a grand adventure! It's a fantasy, filled with action, world building with lore and conflict of good vs evil, light vs dark. A story of Breen Siobahn Kelley as she seeks to discover herself, who she is and who she wants to be. What is her passion, where does she belong, brilliantly told As she struggles with her life her ties to two worlds. This fantasy adventure takes on the epic threads of self-discovery, heritage, family ties- blood and found the bond of friendship, romance and yes the strength all of them can give you after the sorting out the conflicts that can come from all of them! An Awakening of who she is, what's possible, and how powerful you can be! Nora Roberts writes it all so well you experience it all, you bond with characters and become emotionally invested and turning pages, grabbing the next book wanting to know what becomes of Talamh and these amazing characters!

Again, Roberts has created a story of emotions, reality, magic, and so much more! I am sure I have read all of Nora Roberts books over the years and, honestly, they get better and better although they were great to begin with. Her novels contain the fantasy yet reality one searches for to escape this sometimes harsh reality. As I read her words they swallow me up and I am swept away to beautiful Ireland and beyond. Book 1 of The Dragon Heart Legacy is an excellent book leaving me with a hunger for the next book in the series which I will begin immediately.
