Kat Martin never disappoints. A sexy hero, a beautiful heroine, treasure and exotic places make this book a page turner. I will definitely read The Logans next book.

This Series Keeps getting better and better! Gage Logan. Lost items recovery and treasure hunter could go toe to toe with Indiana Jones! Danger surrounding his current client brings up old trauma and adds to his determination not to fall in love. But Abby doesn't make it easy, strong intelligent beautiful, and determined! Love their journey, how close proximity and challenges as they hunt for the Devil’s Gold, her desire to restore her grandfather’s name build a strong relationship between them and make it impossible to deny emotions and attraction. Even if he knows they are perfect together, getting passed the guilt he carries to make it last is one major conflict that stands between them. Lots of action, so many greedy factions drooling after the possibility of the gold, willing to kill for it, along with the Dangerous terrain, keep the pages turning! After the reunion of the Logan Brothers in book 1 and their appearances in book 2 I'm more than excited for Edge's book, One Last Chance!

Kat Martin has done it again! I absolutely loved The Last Mile the second book in her Blood Ties, The Logans series. I could not out it down and I loved every moment on every page of this page turner. Kat Martin has once again proven that she is an incredible storyteller. I love how The Last Mile is told from the perspective of the main characters in the story, I love reading books where the story is told from different character's viewpoints. I loved the characters in The Last Mile. The Last Mile is the story of Gage Logan, owner of Treasure Hunters Anonymous and Abigail “Abby” Holland, granddaughter of the late explorer, King Farrell. King left all his worldly possessions to Abby following his death, including a map and an ingot of gold, believed to come from the Devil’s Gold treasure. Abby hires Gage to help her find the Devil’s Gold treasure that had been her late grandfather’s mission in life. There have been attacks against Abby. As Gage and Abby examine the map and plan an expedition to find the treasure, they spend more time together, becoming closer, and begin a romantic relationship, though neither one of them is looking for a relationship. I love the interactions between Gage’s team of treasure hunters and his reliance on his brother, Edge for assistance with security. Gage is still dealing with issues from a past relationships, so each of them have trust issues. The Last Mile is filled with all the usual plot twists and surprises that I have come to love and expect in a Kat Martin story, and I was not disappointed at all. Kat Martin kept me guessing as to who was behind all the events surrounding the attempts on Abby’s life, the attacks during the expedition, and the search for the Devil’s Gold treasure. My favorite part was the surprise discovery. Love that there was a couple of stories within the story. I loved every page of The Last Mile and was so sad when I was finished reading it. I could not put it down. I was so happy that Gage overcame the disappointment of his relationship with Cassie and opened his heart to Abby and shared his secrets about Cassie with Abby. I love the ending of their love story and how the epilogue gives the readers Gage and Abby’s happily ever after. I enjoyed how Kat Martin introduces the characters for the next book in the series. The Last Mile was an incredible story that I thoroughly enjoyed. Highly recommend this romantic thriller.
