I cannot recommend this book more. It has helped me to continuously evolve the ways I manage a growing enterprise. Easily the most practical managerial book out there. Luka

I've read lots of management books but none are as straightforward, practical and actionable. Dodson's own experiences draws on his extensive personal know-how. I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to manage a team or group. Best management book I've read. Thank you David Dodson.

I had the honor of learning directly from David Dodson during my time at Stanford Business School. David brings decades of management experience and distills it in easy-to-follow frameworks. His class is cited the most by students as the one that they review the notes from the most after business school. As a founder, I leverage the learnings from the book every day to run a successful and enduring business. Can't recommend it enough if you are a founder, executive, middle manager, or aspiring manager.

I read a lot of leadership and management books - I'm an executive coach, and it's my business to do so. Many if not most sadly stay at 30,000" and as a result leave you with a good feeling about a new general framework you've learned, but no clear way to apply it in your day-to-day. Not so in The Manager's Handbook. Dodson does a detailed job of helping managers understand the specific behaviors that they need to focus on, as well as practical steps of HOW they should go about doing it. From hiring to firing and everything in between, Dodson offers questions to consider, language to use, checklists to track, and templates to follow. This is not only management theory, it's management practice. And it's excellent. Recommend 100%!
