In the age of information technology, when it is so easy to find online articles on pretty much any subject, it is hard not to feel overwhelmed at least, and most likely confused, as to what to do to improve our health. Dr Mindy knows that and she has made it her mission to research, absorb and share all that information in a way that is more digestible to her patients and social media followers through dozens of videos, Facebook and Instagram posts. THIS BOOK IS A GODSEND. For many years I have cluelessly accepted the weight gain, mood swings, anxiety, lack of sleep, thinning hair and memory loss as inevitable signs of aging or blamed myself for not dieting enough, exercising enough, doing anything enough. It was about time that someone wrote a book about female hormones, how they interact with each other, how they influence how we feel, and how diet and lifestyle can help every woman not only transition through menopause but doing it while thriving. This book not only provides us with many answers but also gives us hope that we can prevent diseases such as diabetes and cancer. It empowers us to ask our doctors the right questions before we pop another pill and make the treatment choices that suit us best. There were some interesting approaches for treating peri-menopausal and menopausal symptoms. However, the e-book would have benefited from a good editor. There were several typos throughout the book. Most noticeable was the omission of the letter “f” in words that contained two “ff”s side by side.

As a postmenopausal woman who has been experiencing those so called "normal" symptoms of hot flashes, hair loss, dry skin, trouble sleeping and loss of libido for years, I view this book as life saving. Ladies, this isn't normal, and it doesn't have to be this way. We have power over our own bodies, we can help ourselves, and we can do it by following the steps in this book. As someone looking for answers online, I found Keto and intermittent fasting. Are they amazing? Yes! Are they enough? No. I started hearing "women shouldn't do Keto". Who should you believe? As I went from video to video online I ran across Dr. Mindy. What an eye-opening experience! Here is someone who can explain why things happen to your body and what you can do to help yourself in an easy to understand way. This book puts all of that information in a simple, easy-to-read format. This is the book every woman should read, whether they are going through premenopause, perimenopause, menopause or postmenopause. Why aren't all of us being taught this as we go through life? When I started having hot flashes in my late 40s I hadn't even heard the term perimenopause, my doctor just threw that out at me like I knew exactly what it meant, then smiled and said "this could last up to 5 years". What?? And this is the guidance we get? I want all of my friends and family to read this book, that's how powerful this information is. Will it require work on your part? Yes! It's your body, take care of it! I don't know about you, but I want to age with grace and incredible health and feel great doing it. Please, do yourself a favor and buy this book, you won't be sorry.
