Charles Martin is my all time favorite author! His words allow the reader to see what he is describing, feel what he is feeling, even hear what he is hearing. When you finish his books you are exhausted, having made the same trip he just made! The trilogy is no exception! Amazing!

Charles does not disappoint with this 3rd book…except that it is too short!!! Wish it were at least another 100 pages. One of my favorite authors of all time. Excellent writing style, great stories, tough subjects, always redemption. I read this one in a day, a perfect way to recover from a busy holiday weekend. Have read all his books, and can’t wait for the next one!

I loved this book. The characters were well developed. The conclusion hard, yet profound. There was a lot of technical stuff at the beginning that was hard to wade through, but it was worth it. This book is richer if you read the prior 2, but holds its own as a stand alone.

I impatiently waited a year for the final book of the Murphy Shepherd trilogy to release, and it was definitely worth the wait! Mr. Martin weaves a tale that grabs your heart, makes you cry, shout for joy and helps you acknowledge the evil that exists in the hearts of humans, but kindness and sacrificial love can conquer that evil. I don't know what his next book will be, but I know I will be buying it as soon as it's available!
