AMISH CRADLE CONSPRIACY by Dana R. Lynn is the 13th book in the Amish Country Justice Book series. It’s the well-crafted, heart-pounding inspirational story of Sergeant Nicole Dawson of the Sutter Springs Police Department as she teams up with FBI Special Agent Jack Quinn to try to solve a kidnapping/baby trafficking case where the stakes are high – young innocent lives. After Lucy Hilty – a young, pregnant and recently widowed Amish woman – and Leah, her young toddler, had been reported as kidnapped, they got a break when someone called in a sighting. With a clue to their whereabouts, Nicole and Sergeant Kathy Bartlett raced to the scene, as well as other officers from a different location. After arriving, they were fired upon. About the time that Kathy took a bullet, FBI special agent Jack Quinn arrived. They managed to protect Kathy and to rescue Lucy, but the suspect managed to escape taking baby Leah with him. It was then that it became apparent that this particular case was connected to one the FBI was working. The departments deemed it necessary for Nicole and Jack to work together. Normally, Nicole would have welcomed any help, but this was Jack – the man that broke her heart 3 years ago ending their wedding engagement. To save young lives, she’s determined to stay professional and make this work! So much has happened to Jack in the last three years. After Nicole couldn’t or wouldn’t understand that part of his work life had to remain secret and her being unable to accept it because of her father’s history of lying and deceit, she had broken off the engagement and crushed Jack’s heart in the process. He decided it was best to leave town going to work full time with the FBI. Then his sister was murdered leaving him an immediate parent to, Chloe, his young niece. She was his world now. Her happiness and taking care of her were all that mattered. When told he would have to deploy back to Sutter Springs, he didn’t know if his heart could take it, but he had no choice. It was his job! It seems that this kidnap/baby selling ring wasn’t scared of inflicting harm or killing anyone standing in their way – including eye witnesses like Lucy and Nicole. With each attempt on Nicole’s life, Jack knew he wouldn’t be able to bear anything happening to her. He would defend her with his life. At the same time, Nicole wasn’t going to let anyone tell her how to do her job or stand in the way of her doing it. However, the time together has them both rethinking the past and hoping for a future – even if it’s just being good friends. It becomes apparent that this ring is targeting defenseless and pregnant Amish woman, especially those with few people or no one to help them. Knowing that the Amish don’t go to the police and someone living alone or way out on an isolated farm wouldn’t be noticed if they came up missing –...

This was another edge of your seat Romantic Suspense from Dana R. Lynn! I think this is one of my favorites from her! Action and suspense start from page one and won’t finish until the last page! It really engaged me and I had a hard time putting it down. Police Sergeant Nicole Dawson is called with her partner Kathy to rescue a young Amish pregnant woman who was kidnapped with her child. Almost at the same time, her ex-fiancée, Jack Quinn, now an FBI agent is summoned to help out. They are attacked, her partner shot and later taken to the hospital, but they are able to save the pregnant mother, but her daughter is still missing. Nicole can’t believe her luck, after being betrayed by Jack -at least that’s what she thinks- years ago, she now has to partner with him in this case to capture the criminals who have little Leah, who might be part of a baby stealing ring. With lives at stake, now is not the time to consider the awkwardness of her situation. Surely, when they apprehend the kidnappers, Jack will leave and she will forget about him again. But will she really? As they risk their lives to save others, their feelings rekindle, and Jack is not sure he wants Nicole out of his sight again. Can he convince her that he never cheated on her or even stopped loving her? And will they even survive to get a second chance at love? As I said, this was an edge of your seat suspense hard to put down. I loved the characters and how they gave it all for this mission, endangering their lives every second. Nicole was strong, determined and brave. I loved how Jack was so protective of her. He was loyal, and I liked how his love for his little niece, of whom he was now the guardian after her sister’s tragic death, was so strong and caring. The romance was sweet, just like I like it. I loved that there was an inspirational message behind, about giving God the control of your life. The way the case was solved and the ending was so good. I was sorry the book had ended! I definitely recommend it! A worthy read! I received a complimentary copy of this book from the author, but wasn’t required to write a positive review. This is my honest and unbiased opinion.

This Amish suspense romance story is action packed with a second chance at romance for Sergeant Nicole Dawson and FBI special agent Jack Quinn. Jack was asked to return to Sutter Springs to assist with recent a kidnapping of a pregnant Amish woman and her young child. The baby snatching ring is realistic and filled with heart pounding events until the end. The twists and turns and quick action of Nicole, Jack and other law enforcement agents had me on the edge of my seat. This was a quick read as I couldn't put the story down until the last page. I was engaged in the lives of the kidnapped victims, Nicole, Jack and others in the community. I've enjoyed every book in the Amish Country Justice series by Lynn as each one just kept improving with the intensity, suspense, romance and faith. I received a complimentary copy of this book from the author without any obligation to write a positive review. I have expressed my own opinion.
