Two Alone: A Novel

The only way to stay alive is to stick together.

When their plane crashes in the remote reaches of the Northwest Territories, confident businesswoman Rusty Carlson finds herself hurt and alone with a man she can't stand to be around. Vietnam vet Cooper Landry holds a deep-rooted grudge against beautiful women, but he's survived far worse and he'll be damned if he lets them both die in the wilderness.

The ex-soldier's training has prepared him with the skills to defend against the predators in the dense woods-both animal and human-but that's not all that awaits the couple. What Rusty and Cooper couldn't have expected is their shared desire for more than just survival…

The sexist of the theme you was too raw. If you wanted to stay within the bounds of the theme you could have done so. The story was good stillness with a little less sex.

Sandra Brown can write the most interesting of mystery novels, too bad she didn't on Two Alone. I suspect this is just a case of, "I feel like writing a book, so here goes", and what resulted was a very lame, 6th graders essay on suspense, attempting to get a passing grade, and faling miserably. Plots were hatched simply to fill the page and were soon forgotten as to why because they wern't of any significance. Sandra Brown is worthy of her stature in the novel writing community and will continue to be one of my favorite writers of mystery novels; however, I can't rate Two Alone as close to one of my favorites. The bad one is written, now continue with the great ones you always produce.

Two Alone was another fabulous read by Mrs Brown who has by now earned her place amongst my most favorite authors. The story grips you right from the start and doesn't let you go until the very -happy- end. A thoroughly enjoyable book. What more can a reader ask for?

I started reading Sandra Brown books many, many years ago. The first was Sunset Embrace. I fell in love with the Coleman family. Always wondered what happened to Lee Coleman. Hint, hint. This book took me by surprise, two people surviving a small plain crash in the Canadian wilderness. The story flowed alone as smoothly as the river. I was surprised that the chopper found them so early but not surprised at HOW they found them......it wasn't that warm and balmy....

I liked how the author, Sandra Brown, set up the circumstances for the story. She grips you right from the first page. It was a good story with some redeeming value. It was also a familiar theme for Sandra Brown books: woman meets man; does not initially like man; then falls in love with man.
