Witness Protection Breach (Love Inspired Suspense)

Karen Kirst has done it again with this latest addition to the Smoky Mountain Defenders series! Jade & Cruz’s story is one of forgiveness & redemption. It’s a page turner from the start with a couple of unexpected twists along the way! It’s also nice to see the other couples from the series growing in their own relationships. As always, Karen Kirst delivers a fantastic story that entertains and inspires.

The book was so hard to put down. Several interactions with the antagonist left me irritated and angry. Not at the book, but at the character itself. It's the kind of feeling you want to have toward the bad guy. It made me want to punch him for our lovely heroine. Cruz and Jade's chemistry was wonderful which made you upset when they would put blockades up to keep them from being together. But you root for them the entire time and they finally come together. It was a wonderfully written story that kept me hooked the entire time.

I've loved Ambush as my favorite, and though with this book I feel the title is...a little lame (but I've learned that title and cover art aren't up to the author), the story is great. *It's a Christmas romance* and It's a solid tie for my favorite. Twists and turns to finally lead to love. It's a great read and I highly recommend the whole series.

Karen Kirst has ended her Smoky Mountain series with flair! Jade and Cruz were engaging to watch as they interacted throughout the book and it was fun to see how the other couples have continued to grow together. It was compelling to read how Jade managed to protect her young son from the knowledge and effect of the violence and fear surrounding them. I also really loved that Jade tells Cruz to not bring up her bad choices because she is already forgiven. How amazing that one line lesson and how many of us could live better if we remember that for ourselves! As with all her books, Kirst keeps you turning page after page and sacrificing sleep to get to the HEA. I highly recommend this book as well as anything written by this author. Karen Kirst is one of those authors I'll buy without even reading the blurb on the back of the book. I anxiously wait for new books from her. So, when Witness Protection Breach became available, I quickly ordered it. Once again she did not disappoint. This book has the perfect amount of action, adventure, and romance. I highly recommend it.
