Yosemite Firestorm by Tanya Stowe is a wonderful, faith-filled story that you won’t want to put down! It’s a book you can easily read in an afternoon. The suspense and constant danger that the characters face make this a real page-turner! The Love Inspired Suspense line of books are great for those of us who like to read suspense books with clean romance. The inspirational messages in these books add a layer to them that others don’t. Yosemite Firestorm clearly presents how faith in Christ can change your life. God never promised that our lives would be easy and without storms. But He did promise to be with us during the storms, and He is with Livy while she faces danger throughout the story. The characters in Yosemite Firestorm are well-written and relatable. As you can tell by the title, the book includes fire. I think I speak for a huge majority of readers when I say that fire is scary! Livy, a Yosemite Park Ranger, and Hayden, a rock climber as well as search and rescue team leader, handle the fires surrounding them with skill and composure. I’ll be the first to admit that I don’t handle the “fires” in my life with much skill or composure! I’ve got shirts and mugs pointing out the fact that I overreact and am very dramatic. I eventually calm down and remember that God knows and loves me, and He’s got whatever situation I’m going through in His hands. I’d make a terrible park ranger. This is just one example how Stowe uses real life danger to present the message of faith and trust in God. If you like reading exciting, suspenseful books with clean romance and inspiration, you will enjoy Yosemite Firestorm! I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book. This one contains wow factor as fire is starting to surround on all sides and a plan of escape starts to become elusive. A firestorm would be extremely frightening and you will feel as if you are in the midst of it as you are quickly drawn into the story. Throw in other climbers that you are responsible for including some with injuries and villains setting more fires and you have nonstop action. I was glad for the romantic sparks that were flying to even out the story. I enjoyed this dangerous story that showed faith in the midst of it as Livy lived hers and shared with Hayden. It showed great courage on her part. I enjoyed this book. I received a complimentary copy from the author. The honest review and opinions are my own and were not required.

I will admit right up front that I do not like fires. Considering that we have heated our home with a wood-burning stove for nearly fifty years, that may seem a bit strange but I have never been one hundred percent comfortable with it. For those reasons, Yosemite Firestorm was particularly suspenseful for me. The well written narrative included excellent characterization and vivid descriptions of Yosemite. Featuring a park ranger and a former champion climber, the story hits the ground running and barely stops for a breath until the very end. It has enough danger, action, mystery, and suspense to satisfy even the most avid suspense junkie. An unexpected romance and a strong dose of faith top it off to make a satisfying evening read by the fire. I enjoyed Yosemite Firestorm despite its focus on fire and will certainly plan to read more books by this author. I voluntarily reviewed a digital copy of this book provided by JustReads Publicity.
