This book was perfect to read to my children. But not only that-it had so many reminders I myself needed. Page after page I was choked up with perfect reminders that we all need to hear everyday. The illustrations were phenomenal. My young daughter had so many questions about various children in the book and we were able to talk about so many things-broken bones, prosthesis, and how even though those kids may look different they are special just as they are too. I cannot recommend this book to enough people!!

This book is such a sweet reminder for my children and the illustrations are darling. While reading it with my kids some of the words felt like a message that I deeply needed to hear myself. As a mother, I'm doing the best I can for my kids and loving them unconditionally, even if I make mistakes I am always enough for them. 💙

This book is wonderful, beautifully illustrated and overall I would HIGHLY recommend. We just recevied it and have read it over and over to both my kids (ages 7 and 11). As a mom, this is just what I want my kids to hear right now, and recite over and over in their heads. The message is what EVERY kids deserves to hear and KNOW about themselves. I bought this book for my 15 year old Daughter. This is a message that is good for any child at any age. When I got the book I read it out loud to my sweet girl and we both cried. I also work in Special education and it is so WONDERFUL to see every child regardless of gender and color represented on the page of this book. Thank you Emily for putting out a message that unifies and holds space for ALL people.

I got this book for my sweet, sensitive, perfectionist 7 year old boy. This book came on week 2 of him being a big brother. I was able to read him this book on a day when I had to pay more attention to the baby. It was my favorite part of the day because it was a few minutes for us to connect and for me to share how much I love him just for who he is! I cried. He laughed at me crying. A gorgeous book for people of all ages! Also- I love that this gorgeous book doesn’t have a dust cover! Those always end up ruined in our home. The image is gorgeously printed right on the cover in the highest quality way possible! The attention to detail is incredible!!
