Detection Detail (Rocky Mountain K-9 Unit, 1)

I like suspense and mystery in a book. I also love the K-9 series. This is the first book in this series, and it’s intriguing to imagine what’s in store for the rest of the series. The characters are great. From the start connecting Mia Turner to the vehicle fire by a couple strands of hair, the suspense just kept building. When Nelson ran into gunfire when going to interrogate Mia, the suspense began to build. Mia’s determination to clear a friend in prison only proved to greatly complicate matters, and maybe make her look more guilty. Ron Davies, a fellow graduate certainly looked good for all the crimes committed against Mia, but did he do it? The danger against Mia just kept coming, and Nelson and Diesel had their hands full protecting Mia, trying to determine if there was a baby missing from the car, finding who was responsible for the attempts on Mia’s life, and staying alive himself. I really enjoyed trying to figure out who the culprit or culprits were, and was actually wrong until about the end. I absolutely loved this book, and have actually read it twice. I was supplied an arc for an honest review. Terri is a terrific writer, and I really enjoy all of her books. My honest review is that it’s an absolutely great book. Buy it because you will truly enjoy it.

I love starting a new series and I especially love K-9 dogs! They are amazing and Diesel is one of those! He is an arson dog for the Rocky Mountain K-9 Unit. His handler is Nelson Rivers and I enjoyed his character. The first book in the series always introduces all the characters and I can see that there will be great books ahead with some fantastic story lines and characters! When Nelson is sent to interrogate a suspect, Mia Turner, he walks right into gunfire! He's not expecting that! After getting to know Mia, he discovers that he actually believes she is innocent in HIS case but he can't ignore the fact that someone is out to kill her so he sticks by her to find out who. I liked Mia immensely. So much bad luck has come her way and it would be easy to give up and move from the area where she lives but she's a plucky woman and she's going to find out who's after her! She's also going to clear her friend (who is in prison) of an arson charge and set her free. Nelson and Mia and Diesel all had great chemistry and I can't wait for the other books! Detection Detail is Book #1 of the Rocky Mountain K-9 unit and it's great. I loved the characters, the action and suspense, and the dogs! I can't wait to read more books in this series. This book was an awesome start to the series. I enjoy the mystery within a mystery of these series. I received a free book from the author but was not obligated to review it. This is a Romantic Suspense, and this is the first book in the Rocky Mountain K-9 Unit series. The characters was so great and loved all the characters. This book is fill of twist and turns with a ton of action. I love the action and suspense in this book. The romance was really little. The suspense and action was most of this book. I really enjoyed this book, and I also love their was a mystery that the main character was trying to solve on her own while the current stuff is going on. The end was so good, and I loved the ending so much. I received an ARC of this book. This review is my own honest opinion about the book like all my reviews are.

Wheeeeeee!!!!! Another multi-authored K-9 continuity series from Love Inspired Suspense and all the books are available on audible! I love the way we're introduced to the K-9 team and the intriguing start to the over-arcing suspense thread that will be woven through each book. And can we give a nod to the genius of naming an accelerant detection dog Diesel?! So, the suspense in this first book is a mix of cold-case and present danger and trying to figure out if they are related. An intense meet-cute starts things off with a bang. :-) I'm issuing a whiplash warning for this twisty turny plot! And there are a few tummy-flipping reveals that kept me on the edge of my seat right to the very end. Eeeepppp!!! And the romance is just as captivating! I listened to the audible edition narrated by Neil Hellegers and, while I prefer female narrators, I did enjoy this one. (But I'm happy the rest of the series has female narrators. Just my personal preference.)
