I guess it's a good book if you never heard of intermittent fasting before.anf have no clue how to cook an healthy meal. Also write in plain English so very easy to understand. However, not being new to intermittent fasting and cooking all my meals from scratch, I feel like I haven't learned much more from this book. Especially after I did so much homework about it in the past 3 years, including reading Dr Mindy Pelz previous book: "The Menopause Reset". I appreciate the very well made graphics, but being a visual person, I'd have like a more visually attractive visual in the inside, instead of just 4 black & white graphics. Even if I can tell, a lot of effort as been put in trying to make the info very clear. Another negative point for me, the book forces you to navigate from one section of the book to another instead of having all the related information for one specific subject together. I kind of understand the thinking behind it but it would have been very good to add something like "for list for food/graphic to achieve this go to page number XX" We heard so many times in Dr. Mindy Pelz podcasts that I.F. isn't about measuring/calculating food/calories but the 30 day Fasting reset is 50gr of net carbohydrates, 74 grams of protein, some many grams of net carbs etc. Seriously, this puts me off completely out of this reset which was the main reason I bought the book for. Most people don't even know a difference between carbs and Net Carbs. Aslo I didn't realise how much of a big section of the book the repices would take. Which is way too much for my liking. Not to mention the many many pages of the endnotes, bibliography, index etc. In all, just about 180 pages of practical info out of the 352 pages

My husband and I have been trying for baby #2 with no success for over 6-9months. My hormones were not balanced and couldn’t get pregnant. After fasting and reading more into this book, I followed Dr. Mindy’s recommendation to I customize fasting to work with my cycle. I was even getting ready to see a endocrinologist to see what’s going on with my hormones and why I wasn’t getting pregnant. After only ONE month of following this book’s fasting strategies, I got pregnant! Im still in shock and disbelief that fasting actually worked! Anyone who is struggling to conceive because of imbalance hormones need to give fasting a try! It works!

I loved everything about this book, I only wish that it would have come out when I was a teenager! It's a must read for women of all ages. Mindy is clear and concise in her writing and lays out all of the benefits of not only Intermittent Fasting, but extended water fasts with what's happening in our bodies the longer we fast, the foods we should or shouldn't be eating according to our monthly cycle in order to optimize our health and well-being and even recipes. Everything is tied into this book, even several protocols for weightloss, autoimmune, etc, and a 30 day example of how women should be fasting/eating according to their cycle, along with foods we need- and foods to avoid, to optimize and balance all of our hormones during the precise times in our cycle! And women that are post menopausal can use the 30 day fasting plan adjusted around the moon's cycle. Brilliant! It all makes sense once you read it, and that's why I say I wish I would have known all of this information 30 years ago. Better late than never! I've bought this for 5 people and one is a guy, so it's not just for women! There's so much for men to learn as well, not only learning about fasting for themselves to improve their health and loose weight, but about the women in their life. When men are better able to understand us in relation to our hormones, it's a win-win for everyone. Get the book now, don't wait.... we've had to wait long enough for a book of this magnitude. It's about time someone recognized and acknowledged women can't- and shouldn't, be treated the same as men in relation to our health. This book is a life changer! Thank you Dr. Mindy! I've followed you for years--YEARS!!! But, this book literally put it all together and in one week has been life changing and I'm just getting started on this new journey! I'm so excited knowing I'm in control now and have the tools and knowledge that I've wanted and been searching for. I can't praise you enough. Your heart shines in every live call, or video you put out to the universe. You are doing your purpose here on earth serving and helping so many women - and men. The day I turned 30 my body decided to start making changes without my approval. I had no idea what was happening to me and why things took such a drastic turn. I had not made any sort of lifestyle change. It just happened out of the blue! Yet instinctively I knew it had something to do with my hormones. I found out about Dr. Mindy's work at a time when I felt my body was changing beyond my control. I thought it was going to be "me vs. my biology" as I enter my 40's. I had no idea how much of my overall can and should be determined by my own effort through fasting!! Although I knew about fasting in general, there was never any deep, science-founded explanation of the why and how and nothing was gender specific to what women in particular experience - until now! With this new knowledge, laid out in an easy-to-understand format, I feel like I have this secret little tool to use, to stay in control of my hormones as I go healthily into being "over the hill".
