I have had the book "I Will Teach You To Be Rich" for a few years and found some good advice within. This journal appears to be designed as a companion to the original book; however, I found it can stand on its own without having read the book. This journal, if you do it as designed, will cause you to stop and think and to reflect on your money thoughts, where you spend, and your relationship with money. It provides some good financial mind-exercises. On the negative: the journal is softcover. When I opened my package, the corners of the front and back cover were frayed and dog-eared. The book was put in a box slightly bigger than the book with no padding or protective measures. While it doesn't impact the usability/utility, it detracts from the appearance.

I'm a huge fan of Ramit's book and podcast, so pre-ordered the journal as soon as it was announced. It's a lovely book with a great cover and stellar paper that invites you to write with lovely pens.
