King of Pride (Kings of Sin)
She's his opposite in every way...and the greatest temptation he's ever known.Reserved, controlled, and proper to a fault, Kai Young has neither the time nor inclination for chaos-and Isabella, with her purple hair and inappropriate jokes, is chaos personified.
With a crucial CEO vote looming and a media empire at stake, the billionaire heir can't afford the distraction she brings.
Isabella is everything he shouldn't want, but with every look and every touch, he's tempted to break all his rules…and claim her as his own.
***
Bold, impulsive, and full of life, Isabella Valencia has never met a party she doesn't like or a man she couldn't charm...except for Kai Young.
It shouldn't matter. He's not her type-the man translates classics into Latin for fun, and his membership at the exclusive club where she bartends means he's strictly off limits.
But she can't deny that, beneath his cool exterior, is a man who could make her melt with just a touch.
No matter how hard they try, they can't resist giving into their forbidden desires.
Even if it costs them everything.
King of Pride is a steamy opposites attract, forbidden billionaire romance. It's book two in the Kings of Sin series but can be read as a standalone.
Contains explicit content and profanity. Recommended for mature readers only.

Honestly, Ana Huang has yet to write something I didn’t throughly enjoy. When she said Kai isn’t going to be morally gray, he is in fact the polar opposite, I was nervous. I mean, her other characters are so fun to read about, but she did a great job with his character. I will say I am so excited for the next book and cannot wait to see what I can only imagine is a fixed marriage trope looks like when she writes it. Alllll the excitement for King of Greed.

King of Pride is the second book in the Kings of Sins series and I was really looking forward to Kai and Isabella. That being said, I enjoyed them. Overall the entire book was nice, Kai and Isabella are both likeable characters and I have no complaints. The book was refreshing in terms of the type of mmc and the level of spice for an Ana Huang book and personally, I know some might not like it because it is not what they've come to expect but I did. Kai was much more "tame" I think is the right word to use, and he wasn't hotheaded. His internal dialogue did make me laugh especially when he was lying to himself about Isa in the beginning. I wouldn't say Isa was too different from her other fmcs but she was fun and likeable. As a couple they were both cute, him wanting to fly her anywhere she wants for her birthday>>> but I really wish we got more build up between them. I just felt overall something was missing, the tension fell a bit short for me and when they did get together, the forbidden romance part didn't play out enough for me. In regards to the plot, I liked it but I also wish it was intertwined a bit better and we got a little more focus on Isabella's struggle with her writing. So overall I'd say KOP is 3.5 stars rounded up to 4 :) Still, totally enjoyed the book and I definitely recommend it, especially if you're looking for an easy read with all the right things for a romance book. I cannot wait for the third book of the series, Dominic and Alessandra are looking like potential favs<3 *ARC received and I am voluntarily leaving a review

“You’re going to be the death of me one day.” Synopsis: She’s his opposite in every way… and the greatest temptation he’s ever known. Proper, controlled, reserved, Kai Young does not have the time for chaos–and Isabella Valencia, with her inappropriate jokes and purple hair, is complete chaos. With a CEO vote emerging and a media empire at stake, it is crucial that the billionaire heir does not get distracted by her. Isabella is everything he shouldn’t want, but with every touch and every glance, the temptation to break his own rules and claim her as his own is all consuming. Impulsive, bold, and lively, Isabella Valencia has never met a party she doesn’t enjoy or a man she couldn’t captivate … except for Kai Young. This shouldn’t matter because he is not her type. He translates classics into Latin for fun, plus he has a membership at the exclusive club where she bartends at making him off limits. However she cannot deny that, beneath his cold exterior, is a man that can make her melt with just his touch. No matter how hard they try, they can’t resist giving into their forbidden desires. Even if it will cost them everything… Thoughts: I have loved every Ana Huang book and I loved this one! Ana Huang can do no wrong in my eyes. This book has everything, great characters, plot, and spice. Kai did not disappoint as the male lead. I am a sucker for a British accent and Kai had that and more. When this gets an audiobook I am definitely going to listen to it. One thing I loved about Kai is that he is so smart, calm, and mature. It was different from other male main characters I have read, which made me love him even more. Now Isabella… wow I related to her so much more than I expected I would. Seriously, her struggles pulled on my heart strings! I also loved that she was unapologetically herself! She is chaotic, funny, and always caught talking about sex in the worst times. I loved Kai and Isabella both so much. I loved that Kai and Isabella were complete opposites, however they complemented each other in the best way. Together they are so hot and have sooo much chemistry! It was so hot seeing Kai let loose in the spicy scenes and have that dirty mouth. I just wish there were a bit more spicy scenes because Ana Huang writes perfect spicy scenes, and I was craving more. When I found out what the cover meant I was kicking, screaming, and fanning myself. Like damn, I cannot wait for everyone to find out the cover's meaning! Overall I loved this book and cannot wait for the next book in the Kings of Sin series! This book includes: Opposites attract British/billionaire hero Forbidden romance Asian leads 4.8/5 stars 2.5/5 spice Thank you Ana Huang and Valentine PR for providing an arc for an honest review.
