Tin Queen (Clifton Forge)

From USA Today Bestselling Author Devney Perry comes a small town, forbidden romance.

No promises. No expectations. No names. That's what Emmett Stone agreed to with the woman who caught his eye two months ago. After years of drama following the end of his motorcycle club, a no-strings fling with a mystery woman is exactly what he needs. Except as they find themselves together more and more, it's impossible for him to keep his feelings at bay. She's clever and sassy. She's gracious and kind. She loves riding on the back of his bike every Saturday afternoon and lazing in his bed every Sunday morning. She's the perfect woman.

Except she's Nova Talbot, the daughter of his archenemy-the man who murdered his father.

Her identity will cost her the man who's captured her heart unless she can convince Emmett her feelings are true.

Before he learns the reason she proposed their fling in the first place.

Nova has always wanted her father’s love/approval/time, so when he finally confides in her from his prison cell, she hangs on his every word. His stories spark and fuel her hatred for the Tin Gypsies, a disbanded rival motorcycle club to her father’s own Arrowhead Warriors. And so she comes up with a scheme, a plan to trap the three main Tin Gypsies and see them rot in prison. After all if her father is to pay for his sins, shouldn’t they? The thrilling conclusion to the Tin Gypsy series, this book did not disappoint! Nova was just looking to use Emmett to infiltrate the group and find evidence to use against them, but of course he wasn’t what she expected. And Emmett was intrigued by this mysterious woman who seemed too good to be true. A casual, physical relationship with no strings? Perfect. But you know what they say about best laid plans. It seemed to me that Tin Queen was more focused on the building of their relationship than the other books. There was less action and drama which made perfect sense for the plot, so we mostly got to see the feelings and bond form organically between Nova and Emmett which was really sweet considering how they started out as purely physical. I felt for Nova, all she wanted was her father’s approval, and all he did was manipulate her and lie to her for her entire life. So many secrets, so many lies, and it took losing the man she loved to realise it all. I think the story tied the series off nicely, but I feel like Tucker would have been even more manipulative or maybe taken more coercing at the end. The best thing about all the books in this series is how fiercely the men love the women and children in their lives, and will stop at nothing to protect their extended family. Because that’s what they all are. A family.

Crossing enemy lines never felt so good! From the moment I heard who Emmett was going to fall for, I knew it was going to be an explosive ending to an unforgettable series. Tin Queen is the perfect goodbye to the men and women of Clifton Forge and the motorcycle clubs that have seen so many lives ruined and lost along the way, but like a Phoenix rising, Nova and Emmett come through the flames and unbreakable force. Strengthened by the lies told by her father, Nova sets out on a course of revenge, wanting to put the remaining members of the Tin Gypsies MC in the same place as her father, prison where she believes they belong. What she doesn’t expect to find is Emmett, not only is he tall, muscular and gorgeous, but the more she gets to know him, the more she begins to feel for him, until she’s left questioning her path as the lies she’s told begin to unravel threatening to break them apart. What she also doesn’t expect to find are the truths that have been hidden from her by the one man, whose approval she’s craved her whole life. Emmett may be rough around the edges, he may have convinced himself he’s happy being alone, finding company when he wants and he’s even convinced himself he’s happy just being the fun uncle to his brothers kids, needing no family of his own. But the moment he lays eyes on Nova, it’s game over for his defences. The bigger they are the harder they fall, and Emmett falls big time, and oh what a ride it is on the way down. The final instalment of the painfully beautiful Tin Gypsy series, is jam packed with cruel truths, mysteries explained and ghosts finally laid to rest in equal parts to the overflowing love, old and new, family, both by blood and by heart and unshakable friendships, and I couldn’t love it any more. I’m sad to see the end, but the journey to get there was one wild ride, I’m glad I took.

It was bittersweet reading Tin Queen knowing that it was the finale to the Tin Gypsy series and this time seeing the words ‘the end’ meant saying good bye forever to Clifton Forge but what a way to go out! Devney Perry has definitely saved the best till last and me, saying that is something as I’ve been team Dash/Bryce from the start, but Ace/Emmett and Nova/June have just managed to pip them at the post. June Nova Johnson Talbot is driven by grief and a deep seated thirst for revenge over her brother’s death and an almost pathological need to gain her incarcerated father’s love and approval by achieving what others have tried but failed to do – destroy the remaining Tin Gypsies. As her plans unfold she’s torn between vengeance and her growing love for Emmett forcing her to take a good look at the person she has become. Emmett has done his best to put the past behind him. As a Gypsy he did things he now regrets but he’s never harmed an innocent. He’s happy playing uncle to his honorary nieces and nephews and has no intention of settling down. When it comes to his love life he has three rules – No Promises, No Expectations, No Names. However, when he meets Nova the attraction between them is magnetic and what starts as a one-night stand on his part gradually becomes more as they seem unable to keep away from each other. The sex scenes between Emmett and Nova are some of the hottest Devney Perry has ever written – I swear I felt my kindle start to heat up as I read them but what else should we have expected from two such strong characters who at first glance were perfect for each other but what is love without trust? Even now after finishing this book and looking at things from both perspectives I don’t know how I’d have reacted or if I’d have had the strength to forgive, forget and start again. Tin Gypsy is one of my most favourite series of all time and WOW what an epic ending. I honestly can’t see how Devney can top this one but I can’t wait to read what she comes up with next.

An enemies-to-lovers romance, Tin Queen is the stunning conclusion to the saga that was Devney Perry’s Tin Gypsy series. Everything has been building to this story, and it was an enthralling, all-consuming finale to what has been a thoroughly addictive series. Perry pairs the children of sworn enemies together in story that had my heart pounding the whole way through. Rooted in revenge and retribution, Emmett and Nova’s story winds its way through tumultuous terrain before it rides off into the sunset in the sweet rush of redemption. Emmett and his Tin Gypsy brothers may have disbanded their club, but they still live in the haze of their history. It’s not easy, living as they do, constantly looking over their shoulders, braced and waiting for an attack that may never even come. It’s Emmett’s job to provide as much protection as he could so his family could live in peace. Nova’s entire life has been built upon lies and half-truths, she was born hiding something and lived her entire life doing it. A woman on a mission, she sets out to deliver the reckoning she believes Emmett and the other Tin Gypsies deserve. Emmett and Nova’s attraction was visceral, a living, breathing entity on its own, but their beginning is built on lies, half-truths, misunderstandings and the drive for vengeance. Their story was fascinating and the obstacles before them formidable, but Emmett and Nova had to confront their intertwined histories before they could have a real shot at a future and forgiveness. What started as a shot to settle old scores turns into a rough ride through their painful pasts. Their chemistry may be powerful, but the chaos between them needed to be cleared, and Perry accomplished this by weaving this intense and emotional storyline full of twists, turns and shocking surprises. In Tin Queen, Devney Perry takes her readers on the final ride of the series with this pulse-pounding, poignant and passionate love story. Titillating, thrilling and so incredibly steamy, and Emmett and Nova’s story was the perfect ending to this incredible series. An edge-of-my-seat suspense plot coupled with a heart-racing romance, and I couldn’t flip the pages fast enough. While I’m completely satisfied with this story and the close to this series, boy am I sorry to say goodbye to these characters and this world. Tin Queen was everything I hoped the culmination of this series would be, and it’s a top favorite for 2021. Five smooches for Devney Perry’s Tin Queen from me!

The perfect ending to such an incredible series. Family and forgiveness will be hammered home as Emmett and Nova find their way to forever. Nova’s trying to uncover the truth and get justice for her brother’s murder. She’ll have to become the ultimate liar to uncover what really happened. She’s not doing this just for herself, but for the love of her father who is depending on her to get revenge. Emmett has always been happy with the single life. He has his friends, his family, and his work to keep him fulfilled. That all changes the night he meets her. She’s the game changer. The woman who makes him want all the things he never imagined wanting. It was never supposed to go down the way it did. She wasn’t supposed to fall in love. He was supposed to be the enemy. Her lies and deceit will rip them apart. Life is complicated, but forgiveness will set you free. This entire series delivered intensely emotional love stories and edge of your seat suspense. The final book brings our favorite couples full circle leaving each with their forever love. The author continues to make each new series a favorite and creates unforgettable characters. I give this series is FIVE BINGE-WORTHY STARS!!!
