This has to be my favorite, Bas is as wounded as the animals he cares for. And the gentle touch of a woman brings him from death to being alive for the first time. Beautifully written as always

The fourth Sinclair brother, Bás, the Horseman of Death, proves he hides his true self to the woman and child he saves. A man of patience, kindness and compassion, death has always been his moniker since his father told him the identity of his first victim. Bás may change as the executioner when the woman he loves brings him hope for a new life. The Sinclair band of four brothers, wives and a sister are a force to be reckoned with. The long awaited book for Bás was worth the wait. I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book.

The Sons of Sinclair series has been fantastic. I have loved all the books. Bas has always been my favorite of the brothers who were forced by their father to play the role of the Four Horsemen. Bas was the Horseman of Death, in fact his name means death. He grew up feared by others and therefore isolated and alone most of his life. He preferred to live in the forest with his animals including his pet wolf Bao.The wolf found Shana unconscious and her newborn nephew Edward in the woods and led Bas to them to save them. Their story has everything; acceptance, protection, trust, brotherhood, deception, humor, passion, and love. Both Bas and Shana are great characters that you can’t help but be drawn to. The four brothers play a big role as in the other books. Their individuality and uniqueness defined by their roles as the Horsemen make this story a must read. There are laugh out loud moments as well, usually when Joshua, the Horseman of War was involved. I can’t say enough about this book. I pre-ordered it last year and it was worth the wait. You must read it.
