Wicked Beauty (Dark Olympus, 3)
She was the face that launched a thousand ships, the fierce beauty at the heart of Olympus...and she was never ours to claim.
*A scorchingly hot modern retelling of Helen of Troy, Achilles, and Patroclus that's as sinful as it is sweet.*
In Olympus, you either have the power to rule...or you are ruled. Achilles Kallis may have been born with nothing, but as a child he vowed he would claw his way into the poisonous city's inner circle. Now that a coveted role has opened to anyone with the strength to claim it, he and his partner, Patroclus Fotos, plan to compete and double their odds of winning.
Neither expect infamous beauty Helen Kasios to be part of the prize...or for the complicated fire that burns the moment she looks their way.
Zeus may have decided Helen is his to give to away, but she has her own plans. She enters into the competition as a middle finger to the meddling Thirteen rulers, effectively vying for her own hand in marriage. Unfortunately, there are those who would rather see her dead than lead the city. The only people she can trust are the ones she can't keep her hands off―Achilles and Patroclus. But can she really believe they have her best interests at heart when every stolen kiss is a battlefield?
"Deliciously inventive...Red-hot."―Publishers Weekly STARRED for Neon Gods
"I get shivers just thinking of their interactions. SHIVERS."―Mimi Koehler for The Nerd Daily for Neon Gods

This is hands down right on the same level as Neon Gods for me, undeniably one of my favorite Katee Robert books to date!!! Patroclus has my whole heart, there is nothing I wouldn't do for that man. Achilles is the type of MMC we expect to see but he has this depth to him that really comes out later in the book and Patroclus really brings out the very best of him. Helen. Oh Helen, where do I even begin? You think you know Helen but you don't. Nothing is as it seems and quite frankly this FMC has such a fierceness to her that rivals Achilles and while they both are stubborn to a fault Patroclus is there to remind them they are both being idiotic without saying it LOL!

I did not think that I would be able to love a Dark Olympus book more than I loved Electric Idol but Katee Robert totally outdid herself with Wicked Beauty! This book featured more action (as in adventure) which was an unexpected change of pace from the previous books in the Dark Olympus series that I did not know I wanted / needed. The chemistry between Helen, Achilles, and Patroclus was insane and I was LIVING for every moment of it. Seeing how the three complimented each other’s strengths and weaknesses so well was a highlight of the story for me. It was also great to finally start to see the overarching plot come together for the series and meet so many new (and hopefully important to the future) characters. Spice wise I would rank this book 3/5 and classify it as a medium burn. I absolutely loved the book and I think the series just keeps getting better and better – don’t miss out on this one!

I didn't think that Katee could top anything else she has written but I was wrong. Helen's story is amazing! Helen Kasios is the daughter of the former Zeus and sister to the current Zeus. To most, she is just a prize to be won. But she is more than just a pretty face. Ares has died and the title is up for grabs. All the next Ares has to do is win 3 parts of the competition that will prove they deserve to be the next Ares. Helen has a plan to enter the competition to prove she is stronger than she seems. Achilles Kallis and Patroclus Fotos are partners, in more ways than one. They both enter the competition with the intent of Achilles winning and taking the title of Ares for himself. Neither of them counted on Helen walking in and taking over the competition and so much more. Katee has created a world so deep, twisted, and intense that you can't help but be sucked and begging for more. I can't wait for the next book in this series!!!

This was my March 2022 review - I have read the first 5 chapters of this book and they are amazing. The long term plot set up is what I have come to expect from Katee Robert. Helen is tired of being the lesser of her siblings and has decided that instead of being the prize awarded to the New Aries, she will be the new Aries. Patroclus and Achilles have a relationship unto themselves and having Achilles win the Aries title will give them the cover and safety they need. Achilles and Helen are on a crash course from the Fates that will play out both in the competition for the Aries title and in private. Becuase if we know anything about a Katee Roberts book things will get very hot between the three of them. Can they form an alliance for the games and in life...I can't wait to find out when this book is released June 7th. Reading the whole story! Princess are meant to be worshiped.... Not their own hero's. Helen is tired of men deciding her fate. She decides to enter into the tournament to become the next Ares instead of the winners wife. Achilles and Patroclus have a a solid plan. Someone wins Ares and they continue their relationship as normal. They have always had each other backs but this tournament brings out a new competition... For Helen. When they become unlikely allies in the bedroom it remains to be seen whether they will be able to take the top prize in the tournament or will outside forces take them down. Katee Robert's version of a slow burn takes off like a wild fire once it is lit. She can make you feel the pain and desperation of all of these characters. It's definitely a 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 for me. The romance 😏 was 🌶 🌶 🌶 🔥 🔥. If you liked Neon Gods and Electric Idol you will definitely enjoy Wicked Beauty!

I LOVE Greek mythology, and I also LOVE poly romances, so this was a definite hit! It's the third book in the Dark Olympus series, and it turns a few myths a little bit more on their heads than I've seen in a while. For example, Helen and Paris are NOT a great love story, and Helen, Achilles, and Patroclus end up as a trio instead of just two/three separate people. I liked that Achilles and Patroclus were already a long term couple (in an open-is relationship), and that they were both on the same page about most things. They were super duper different people with different personalities, but they made it work even better because of that. Helen was someone that I was honestly not expecting to like (she wasn't super likable in the first two books), but she totally grew on me. She was very vulnerable and open, and even when she screwed up, she owned up to it. And she didn't take anyone's crap and learned to stand up for herself. There are a good chunk of sex scenes, but not so much that it overpowers the story. For me, it was the perfect ratio of plot to sex, and the story was solid on it's own. Ten out of ten recommend!
